Donate to Habitat Builders

Habitat Builders is a 501c3 non-profit chapter of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation. We were founded in January 2019 to protect, conserve and restore wildlife and habitat in the Marvin/Waxhaw area. We continue to do the work that keeps the Village of Marvin a certified Community Wildlife Habitat and we continue to expand our educational event offerings and volunteer opportunities. We are committed to engaging our community about conservation, the environment, and how you can make a difference.
Building, restoring and conserving habitat is the most important work we can do to support our local wildlife. It can be as easy as providing food, water, and shelter in your own yard for birds, pollinators, reptiles, amphibians, small mammals and all the little creatures you don't even see. But some projects require funding, would you like to help?
Arbor Day at Elementary Schools in West Union County
Funding this event is extremely important. So if you can't join us to plant trees, can you donate money to purchase the trees?
-
A $100 donation purchases one tree, plus mulch.
-
For $200, you help us purchase two trees and fund the Arbor Day program for one elementary school.
-
$1600 covers the cost of the entire 2025 program for 8 elementary schools.
If we raise more, we will be able to help more schools. If you are interested in funding the Arbor Day program in any way contact us here. Every dollar helps!
Habitat Builders Speaker Series
Our speaker series has been going strong since 2019 and we want to continue to provide excellent educational information for you. Speakers have associated costs, especially when they work with live animals. Those presentations tend to be the most well attended and we love to offer those. You donation can help us offer more educational programs every year.
Habitat Building
True to our name we believe that building habitat is the most important work we can do. Native plants, bird boxes, water features and bird feeders are just a few of the items we purchase to support improved habitat. Though there are lots of free habitat building materials (leaves, sticks, fallen logs, etc) most habitat building projects are more successful with the addition of native plants and wildlife support features. Any donation level is greatly appreciated.
General Marketing
Banners, postcards, this website, and other marketing materials are necessary to share our message and create more habitat in our area. Any donation level is greatly appreciated.
